Baby Brother Charlie

We welcomed Charles Jospeh Alt on Feb. 13th at 1:01 pm. He weighed 5lbs, 15 oz and came home on Sunday. So far, so good! Anna seems to be adjusting really well to her new brother and is very interested in what he is up to. Which, at this point, is not much of anything. He's already sleeping better than his big sister, but I doubt that surprises anyone! We've had a good week, my mom is here and has been a tremendous help. Here are some pics of the newest addition to the Alt family.
Here is Anna holding onto Charlie's toes, she thinks it's hysterical when she tickles him.

Here is Charlie on one of his rare occasions with his eyes open.

Anna helping supplement Charlie at the hospital - so proud of her new brother!

Of course, the first item of clothing to go on Charlie was a Steelers bib.

Here we are at the hospital for Anna's first meeting with Charlie. She was so happy!

Baby Belly

Anna and I decided to give my belly a tattoo ( along with the real one ) today - Karl thinks the doctor's in the labor and delivery room will find it pretty amusing. Here are our efforts and the baby belly.

Disney World

The doctor's cleared me to travel for exactly one week, so we decided to do what all sane people with a toddler do - take her to Disney World for one last hurrah with mommy and daddy before her new sibling arrives. In all seriousness, despite my utter lack of grace, speed or endurance, we had a great time. I realize this trip was largely for us because she will in no way remember it, I can vouch for her, she was in heaven the entire time. We saw the Animal Kingdom, Epcot Center ( in the pouring rain, I recommend waiting for a nice day ) and the Magic Kingdom. My favorite was the last, as I love Disney World. Seeing the Magic Kingdom through a child's eyes is priceless. Her amazement at all things Disney was wonderful. Although, her favorite ride was the carousel, of which we have one down the street for a lot less $$! I have included some pics of Anna Banana's joyful experience here.

Quote of the night

Anna woke up in the middle of the night last night, hollering. I quickly went to her room to see what was going on. She was completely asleep, yelling 'I want ice cream, I want ice cream'. I hope she got what she wanted in her dream, because I was not about to get her some ice cream at 3:30 am!
