Amen
Anna goes to a Christian daycare and part of their daily tradition is to say Grace before each meal. Initially, I wasn't sure what I thought about their practices, but decided that it can't possibly be a bad thing to be thankful for your life's fortunes. So, each evening, as I put Anna to bed, we say our ' Grace'. Last night, I said mine and then Anna said hers. It went something like this. " God is good, God is great, thank you for the food we eat and Charlie and Daddy. Amen". How sweet is that. I wonder though, what happened to Mommy?
7 Months Old!
Here are our seven month photo shoots with the bear! As you can see, both Anna and Charlie were more interested in eating the bear's nose than posing for the camera. Charlie and Anna continue to amaze me. Charlie wants more than anything to be 'big' like his big sis. He loves watching her bounce off the walls and delights in her attention. Anna moved into the pre-school room at daycare and continues to love her school and her friends. On the weekends, she's disappointed to learn that she'll be stuck with mommy and daddy for not one, but two entire days.

This month, we've been busy packing up for our new house. Anna's room is the only room that has anything resembling a normal space left in the house. We are all really excited for the move, as the new house has a real kitchen (!) and a nice big yard and a real play room for the kids. I am torn between being very sad to leave behind our neighborhood that is packed with children and a set of friends that I consider family and the excitement of new beginnings. We've been busy looking at furniture, picking out carpet and paint colors and cannot wait to actually move. Our house is filled with boxes and we've been eating off of the same three plates for a few weeks. We move out next Thursday and then move in with my dad for a week while we are waiting for our house to get ready.

Six Months Old!
Here are the pics of Anna and Charlie from their respective six month photo shoot with the bear. I thought Charlie was a chunker, but it appears that Anna had him beat by quite a few rolls. Charlie is getting more mobile by the minute - his new favorite activities include grabbing hair, putting everything in his mouth and watching his big sister. I'm still waiting for him to start sleeping better- his teething seems to be getting the better of all of us! He weighed in at 18 lbs and 27 1/2 inches, I think he is going to be taller than Anna in about a month.

Dog days of Summer
We spent August trying to sell our home. I realized sadly, that I had barely taken any pictures. Charlie turned six months old ( I can't believe it! ) and Anna has been busy at 'school' with water play and playground antics. A few updates are in order: 1. We have officially started potty training Anna - new tinkerbell undies and a lot of bribery! 2. Charlie is sitting up and crawling backwards! 3. We sold our house and have a contract on a home in Frederick. We are eagerly anticipating our move by searching for furniture, a play set for our much expanded yard and picking out paint colors for the house. We will miss our neighborhood so much and hope that even though our new home is a little further away that we will still see our friends as frequently as possible.
Here are a few pics from this month:

Anna making brownies ( sorry, I mean eating brownies )... the girl loves to help me cook!
