Doctor Anna is in

While mommy laid sick with the flu, she was attended by the premier Doctor in the US for treating Swine Flu victims.
It seems like we're finally on the mend ( day 4 ), thank goodness, as we have a Halloween Party to throw this Saturday!

Thank goodness for Daddy too - he took the past few days off to make sure we got the care we needed. We have been quarantined to the bedroom so he and Charlie wouldn't get it. So far, no one else is sick.

Some pics ( finally! )

I finally have pics of the new house! Here is Charlie having dinner at our lovely kitchen table ( no furniture yet! )

This picture is our current sleeping arrangements - pack n play to the left, although, Charlie hasn't slept there in awhile - we're in for it when everyone gets their own rooms. They think sleeping with Mommy and Daddy is the new norm! Some of the only toys we have in the house - fortunately, blocks can provide hours of entertainment - they're both an educational toy and a good chewing tool for teething babies!

Charlie and Daddy on the new porch ( which we LOVE! )

This is the front of our new house
And, the back ( and yes, we have already spent a massive amount of time on that porch! )
First order of business, swings for Anna and Charlie!
Dining room work in progress

New hardwoods work in progress
We're 'supposed' to have everything finished by this Friday - I'm not holding my breath - but the furniture comes on Saturday and we can finally spread out a little. I am looking forward to having a little more room to play once all of the contractors are finished. I'm sure Anna and Charlie will be happy to see the rest of their toys too!

Butler's Farm 2009

We took a trip to the farm this weekend with some good friends, see William and Anna above checking out the ghosties. What a blast - it was a perfect fall day and the kids enjoyed themselves immensely. Mommy and Daddy also had fun, although, I think we both had straw in our pants and hair. The two hour naps enjoyed by both kids directly after made a little extra straw totally worth it! Here are some pics ( thanks to Emily and Kate, since I still haven't unpacked! )

Here is the first round of slide action - looks like Daddy is having fun!

And, round two with Mommy - that slide almost sliced off my finger! Dangerous, but so fun!
This horse is named Diego - how convenient, this is Anna's very favorite cartoon boy!
Daddy and Charlie taking a wagon ride.

Finally moved in!

It's official, we've moved to the middle of nowhere! We have yet to have our belongings delivered, as there have been painters practically living with us and carpet ordered. Our whole family was sad to say goodbye to the Residence Inn, where I loved the fact that someone cleaned up our mess every single day and also parked my car for me. What a delightful place. This new house did not come with valet parking or a cleaning lady, much to my chagrin. It did, however, come with beautiful view of South Mountain and a GLORIOUS sunset ( pic to come soon ) on Monday evening. We are all living in one room together on two air mattresses while we wait for the work to be finished. I would like to note, though, for those that are interested, that Karl did get a television in time to watch the Steelers only hours after moving in with nothing else. Yes, a tv comes before food, mattresses and clothing. Thank god they won that game! Anna is adapting well and Charlie also seems delighted with the new larger space. Both babies are capable of echoing in the new house and they yell as much as possible to see what their voices can do. When you come to visit, bring your tylenol! We are very happy to have the new house and hope everyone comes to see us soon.
