Fall Stuff

Here is Karl getting prepared for friend's Thanksgiving at our house. Good times were had by all ( at least all of the Alts!). We had a turkey and everyone brought over their favorite Thanksgiving dish. Everything was delicious and there were barely any leftovers!

Cupcake time in the kitchen.

Our only group shot is a pile of kids on top of Chris Buddie -

Miss Caroline Belcher and Charlie having some baby play time... Charlie mainly wanted to touch her and love on her, but Caroline wasn't having it!

Anna, Henry and Eleanor sharing some snuggle time. Anna misses them so much!
It was a great day - full of laughter, good friends and great food!

8 months old

As Charlie nears being 9 months old, I realized that I haven't yet posted about his 8th month. It's been a busy month. I delight in this age range - still not quite talking and not quite moving too much. Charlie does actually talk a lot, saying mamamamama and dadadadadadada. I think Anna will probably be his first real word though, he loves his big sister so much and looks up to her constantly, despite being trampled, smacked, pulled and in general tortured. Some big steps this month included:

crawling backwards
eating finger foods
SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT - ( we're still working on this with Anna, so you can imagine my delight at one kid sleeping 7 to 7! )

I had to post these two pics - both from the 8 month photo shoots. Those bongos are very popular at our house ( then and still! )

Happy Halloween!

We finally felt better on Friday, after being out with the flu for five days. Thank goodness, since it was almost Halloween!

This is our little mouse's party at his daycare. Charlie's ears made squeeking noises, which he thought was highly amusing - although, the poor baby couldn't reach his ears himself!

And, here we are enjoying the neighborhood party - watching the big kids run around on sugar highs.
Anna doing a little pre-party admiration before heading to her school party.

Here we are during Anna's preschool Halloween 'parade'. We held hands around the parking lot twice until every kid was practically in tears over getting back to their rooms for their candy.

We spent Halloween morning at Larriland Farm, picking some yummy apples and then went to a party in our neighborhood. We met a few new people - luckily for Anna, we met another 2 year old that shared in Anna's love for being silly. The two girls spent an hour giggling, eating pizza and running around. Halloween night was lots of fun - the adults handed out champagne (!) - yay, me for being the one picked to take Anna around - and the kids ran the neighborhood. We finally met a lot more people and had a great time.
