First Words

Charlie has been saying mamamamamama and dadadadadada for awhile but somewhat indiscriminately. Last night, however, when we got home from the daycare pick up and Anna and Charlie were playing, I sat down with them on the floor to give them both a big hug. As I put them both in my lap, Charlie very clearly said "ANNA" and reached for his big sister. Anna was so delighted she got up and did a little jig. When daddy got home later on, she was so proud to tell him that Charlie's first word was her name. I'm definitely not surprised with his choice of first word, but I am kind of surprised it wasn't followed up with a "now get away from me, crazy girl". She's a little over-zealous with him. I'm still warning her of the beat down that I know will happen. He will be bigger than she one day, he's only about 6 pounds behind her as it is!
